Progressive mode: chained cycles with reinvestment

In normal mode the calculator stops when the cycle ends. In progressive mode won cycles are chained: when you win one, the next starts automatically and part of the profit is reinvested so the capital of the next cycle grows.

How to turn it on

Turn on Progressive mode in the configuration panel before marking the first trade and choose the reinvestment percentage (1 to 100). Once trades are marked the mode can no longer be changed in that cycle, because it would change every stake.

The capital of each cycle

Each cycle stakes the initial capital multiplied by a factor that grows with every won cycle:

capital of cycle n = initial capital × (1 + return × reinvestment) ^ (n − 1)

With 10 trades, 4 ITM and an 86 % payout, the return of a cycle is 13.26%. This is how the capital of the first cycles evolves starting from $100:

CycleReinvestment 25 %Reinvestment 50 %Reinvestment 100 %
Cycle 1$100.00$100.00$100.00
Cycle 2$103.31$106.63$113.26
Cycle 3$106.74$113.70$128.27
Cycle 4$110.28$121.23$145.28
Cycle 5$113.93$129.27$164.54

At 100 % the whole profit is reinvested (full compounding); with lower percentages part of the profit stays out of the risk of the following cycles.

Cumulative balance

The balance shown by the calculator is cumulative: it starts at the initial capital and adds or subtracts the result of every trade of every cycle, without resetting. For example, after winning the first cycle the balance stays at $113.26 even though the second cycle stakes a different amount. The summary's cycle target is calculated on that balance.

Losing a cycle ends the progression

If a cycle is lost, the progression stops: no new cycle starts with more capital. The calculator shows how many cycles you won and the final balance, and New progression starts again from cycle 1 with the initial capital.

Risk grows with the capital

Each new cycle stakes more than the previous one, so losing a late cycle costs more than losing the first one and can wipe out the profit of several winning cycles. A moderate reinvestment percentage (25–50 %) reduces that effect.
